Mixed Level Flow is appropriate for those familiar with the basic yoga postures. Our flow is slow and thoughtful, and the option to pace yourself is always there. Hala prides herself on creating a space where students feel empowered to move in a way that works for them without pressure or shame. This class can be sweaty and challenging; we focus on standing poses and core work, and this can also be adapted for bodies that need a gentler practice. Our goal is to find presence in our bodies with compassion and also have some fun!
Yoga for All Bodies Basics strives to be a class where people of all experience levels, ages, races, cultures, sizes, genders, sexual orientations, and gender expression feel included*. The first part of class is spent on the back doing hip and hamstring openers and simple, accessible core stabilization exercises. Then we move into simple standing poses, ending with meditation and savasana. You are in charge of the “volume dial” in your practice, so you can make this a very gentle practice or you can turn up the heat.
*I do my best to be accessible to a range of abilities, but given that this is a group class, that is not always possible. You can check with me beforehand on email (firstname.lastname@example.org) to see if this class might fit your needs.
